Could this be the best children’s birthday party in Rugby?

Yes, you read the title right. While our blog normally focuses on straight hair, curly hair and everything in between, this week we’re talking about something different: children’s birthday parties. Why? Because we think this is the perfect birthday party idea for any little girl and her gal pals.

While everyone else has been having a dry January filled with water, salads, and nights in, Lottie and her friends were having the time of their lives at their own mini girls pamper party. Yes, this January Mack Hair and Beauty Salon launched their mini girls pamper party in Rugby – complete with hair, makeup and afternoon tea.

To celebrate this launch, we’re taking you on a trip down memory lane, and sharing our top ingredients for the best children’s birthday party in Rugby.

1. Balloons

Did a party even happen if there weren’t any balloons? Of course not. Big ones, small ones and ones as long as your head are essential for birthdays of any number. We had plenty of pink and purple ones to go around and get our exclusive-use area into party mode.

2. Music and games

Knees bent, arms stretched, ra-ra-ra. Whether your little ones are into the latest tunes or the birthday party classics, music and games are essential for all parties. We had a selection of tunes and a pretty competitive game of twister to work up an appetite. Because that’s what it’s all about.

3. Fun

The biggest ingredient of them all is a splash of fun, and what better way to have a good time than to treat the birthday tribe to something a little different. Our pamper party meant that Lottie and her friends could be big girls for the day, getting their hair and makeup professionally done – and who doesn’t want that!

4. Party food

Forget soggy sandwiches and day-old sausages, our girls were treated to a scrummy afternoon tea supplied by the one and only Olivia’s Coffee House. We had all the essentials, including party rings, chocolate cake, sandwiches, macaroons, and even some pink popcorn.

5. Fizz

To wash all that glorious food down, you need a glass of fizzy juice or two. With a selection of pink or orange to choose from, our mini girls were treated to a champagne flute and paper straw to make them feel extra special.

6. Party bags

Extending the fun well into the evening, party bags are the perfect way to say thank you to your guests and give them a little something to take home. Our girls had a colourful selection of paper party bags (all, recyclable of course.) What was inside? You’ll have to find out for yourselves.

7. Friends

And last, but by no means least – no birthday party is complete with a bunch of friends.
